Taeda Pine (Pinus Taeda) from Uruguay is a pine specie with high durability. Uruguay Pine typically grows to a height of 65 to 100 feet, with a trunk diameter of 1 to 2.5 feet. Uruguay Pine has a rich, reddish-brown color, adding a warmth touch to the colour of the wood.
In order to Thermal treat the wood to make it resistant to rot and fungus, the wood is gently heated to high temperatures above 200° C, while steam is added, a process that is 100% free of chemical agents.
This process also means that the wood becomes very durable and extremely stable in shape.
Taeda Pine is very suitable for construction and furniture production.
