We practice True Sustainability
Wood is one of the world’s most climate-friendly materials – and it’s also renewable.
Living by True Sustainability is not static. It is dynamic and we commit ourselves to constantly act accordingly.
The timber industry is one of the most regulated industries in terms of origin and operation. For us, True Sustainability is that we have all statutory and voluntary certification schemes. But it is also that we are critical of all the information we receive.
We constantly seek to refine our own impact on the environment and society – including choosing sustainable forms of transport whenever possible, reducing our emissions, etc.
We believe in sustainable forestry and would like to contribute to the overall reduction of CO2 through the sale and promotion of wood. Negative carbon footprint is a term that refers to the process which allows carbon to be stored in the wood. We seek to provide EPD’s on our all products for building purposes, when possible.
Star Timber has been FSC®-certified since 2009 and PEFC-certified since 2015. In addition, we follow the rules and guidelines issued in connection with EUDR.
